How To Accomplish Your Goals Like A Boss


I’m not the best when it comes to holding myself accountable for my goals. I always start something then when I fail along the way I just give up. However this year I’ve been working to really make that change in my life.  I know that I shouldn’t let a few stumbles here and there discourage me from completing my goals. If you’re like me neither should you. No one is perfect and I’m sure we’ve all been having trouble sticking to our goals this year but the best thing is that every day is a chance to try again. If you fail again so what, try again the next day, and the next day don’t stop until you get the results you want. I believe that perseverance is a goal within itself.  I’m sharing how I’ve been trying to stay on top of my goals this year.




1. Monthly Aspirations Link-up

I started a monthly link-up with the lovely Angela from TheClutter Box Blog. It’s the first Monday of every month where you can share your goals and aspirations for that month also give us a shout out on social media and let us know how it’s going.  By participating in this link-up it helps me reflect on what I need to improve in my life and challenge myself to be the best I can be. Also by sharing it on my blog you all help me stay accountable for my goals.

2. Planning, Planning, Planning & More Planning

I love my planners!! This year I ventured out and chose to get a Happy Planner by Me And My Big Ideas. I also decided to start decorating my planner to make my planning experience more fun and therapeutic. Planning helps me get excited for the week ahead. I also include quotes and reminders each week of what my goals are that way I always keep in mind what I’m working towards.

3. Mood/Inspiration Board

Last year I tested out the concept of making a mood board seeing if would help me with my goals, low and behold it did!! This year I made another one based on what I hoped to accomplish this year.  I added pictures and quotes on my board so whenever I need a little encouragement or reminder about why I’m even doing this I just look at my mood board and gives me a little push. 4. Accountability Buddy

Although I mentioned that you all help me stay accountable that just isn’t enough for me. Sorry. I also need someone close to me to help me stay on track. In this case I chose my lovely boyfriend. He does a darn good job at it. I know it seems stupid to have an accountability buddy because we’re adults and we don’t need someone reminding us or telling us what we need to do, however sometimes you do. For instance I promised myself I wouldn’t let class work take over my life like I did the previous semesters so I set a bed time for myself at 10:00pm on the weekdays. Last night I wanted to stay up doing homework that wasn’t even due yet. My boyfriend said, “No you set a time to go to bed and you need to follow that.” Although I didn’t want to I knew he was right. So I went to bed I was happy he told me that because I really needed the rest. This is why accountability buddies are so wonderful to have because they help you stick to your goals even when you don’t want.


I believe without these four aspects in my life this year it would be hard for me to stay on track with my goals. So I really do think doing and having these four things make it easier for me to accomplish what I want to. I hope these tips have helped you as well.
