Welcome to another Monthly Aspirations Link-up. I can’t even believe January is over already. I always feel like time flies by too fast. I hope you all had a great first month to the New Year. I want to recap what Monthly Aspirations is all about in case you’re new here. Monthly Aspirations is a monthly goal link-up hosted by the wonderful Angela over at The ClutterBox Blog and yours truly. The Monthly Aspirations Link-up happens the first Monday of each month and will be open for two weeks. So there’s tons of time for you to come back and share your goals with us. Feature Blogger from January

I want to thank everyone who joined us last month! It was fun and inspiring reading each of your goals. I’d like to make a special mention to Robin from Penn & Quill.  Robin started a self-love series and she made different goals are small steps toward loving herself. I thought that was something that we should all be working towards. In the midst of our busy hectic life we forget to invest in ourselves. We’re them most important person in our life, we shouldn’t forget that. It was a great reminder for me and she inspired me to take those small steps into loving myself more which helped me decide what this months goals will be.  So thank you Robin!!

Wednesday I’ll be sharing a recap of how I did with my January Aspirations and how I stayed accountable for them. It’s time to start setting some February aspirations. Since this month is all about love I thought I’d run with it. So my theme for this month’s goals is centered on working on my relationships whether that be with friends, family, strangers, myself, and my boyfriend.

1. Reestablish my skin care routine.
I used to have a consistent skin care routine which made me feel great about myself, my day, and had amazing benefits for my skin. Along my college journey I just stopped my routine. I got too lazy or too busy, and never bothered. My skin has definitely suffered from it. So I want to get back on track with my skin care routine. I want to start feeling great in my own skin again. It’s time to give some love back to myself. So if you have any suggestions on products you think I should try let me know in the comments below. I’m still in search for my “Omg I’m in love with this” products.

2. Exercise
I’ve never been comfortable or happy with my body. I’ve always wanted to lose weight but for all the wrong reasons. That being said I was never motivated properly to keep going. This year I’m determined to lose weight. Mostly because I want live a healthier life. I don’t want to be out of breath while walking up a flight of stairs and I don’t want to be sluggish after certain activities. So my first step towards exercise I bought 30-day challenge planner stickers that focus on sculpting certain areas of your body. This is my little push towards that direction. 

3. Be patient & kind
These are two different goals but I think they go hand in hand. My siblings and I are the most impatient people I’ve ever meet. I’m sure it’s something we get from our mom but it’s such a bad habit to have. When we’re impatient we tend to be very rude which is why I said these sort of go hand in hand. I think being impatient applies not just to others but also myself. This month I want to remind myself that everything takes time and what will be will eventually be. I need to enjoy the process of everything because rushing through life along the way you miss out on important things. Along with that I want to be kinder to others and myself. I’ve been realizing how small acts of kindness really go a long way. I want to start doing more small acts of kindness for myself and other people.

4. Be more affectionate
This goal is for my relationship, family, friends, and myself. My bad break up a few years ago really impacted me I closed myself up emotionally to the point it’s affected my ability to be openly affectionate with those I love. I rather shut myself off from everyone. I need to relearn how to wear my heart on my sleeve a little and show those who I love that I love them. Affection is the only non-verbal way to express your love for someone. So this month I want to be more affection with those I love including myself. I want them to know how much they mean to me and how much I appreciate them. As for myself I want to do more things that make me feel better and happier.

All these goals reflect something I want to do to love those around me and myself this month. Which I think is essential for a happier and fulfilling life. Don't forget to come back and share your goals with us.
